Fan Faire – Quests, Tournaments, Games, and More!

What’s Fan Faire without fun activities? This Fan Faire, the Live Quest and Tournaments return. Here is more about the Live Quests and Tournaments that will be going on over the weekend:

Live Quests!
The Live Quests let Fan Faire attendees step out of their gaming avatars and take on a quest in real life! Teams of up to 10 people will participate in these two hour, fun-filled, adventures and journey to help a cast of real life NPC characters!

There will be Live Quests for the following games:

• EverQuest
• EverQuest II
• Star Wars Galaxies
• Vanguard: Saga of Heroes

Tournaments!
The Tournaments take Fan Faire attendees back in-game to compete in live events against others. Below you can find out more information about the Tournaments:

EverQuest® Best of the Best – Last Hero Standing Challenge
It’s time for a new champion for EverQuest®! Take part in the Best of the Best (“The Challenge”) and become the “Last Hero Standing!” The Challenge is for EQ players who are attending Fan Faire 2010. The Challenge will feature four preliminary rounds of competition and one final round in a special EQ Best of the Best Challenge PvP arena. Players will choose between one of eight SOE pre-constructed avatars as they battle with the hopes of advancing to the final round and being named the “Last Hero Standing.”

EverQuest® II Zraxth’s Unseen Arcanum Challenge
The EverQuest® II Zraxth’s Unseen Arcanum Challenge (“Challenge”) is looking for champions! The Challenge is for EQII players who are attending Fan Faire 2010. The Challenge will feature nine heats of competition with five groups of six people per heat in the instance “Zraxth’s Unseen Arcanum” on the Test-copy server. Participants will choose between their test-copied characters or newly buffed characters. Participants wishing to use a copy of their character will need to use the /copy command to copy their character to Test-copy in advance. The team that successfully completes the quest with the most points in the shortest amount of time will win.

Star Wars Galaxies Smuggler’s Run Challenges
Who is the best Smuggler in the Galaxy? Join a wild and crazy scavenger hunt across several planets and vie for the best time! This Challenge is for SWG players who are attending Fan Faire 2010. Participants will log into Star Wars Galaxies with premade characters. The participant who successfully completes the quest with the most points in the shortest amount of time will win.

EverQuest® II Get Your Gank On! Challenge
Battle late into the night! The EverQuest® II Get Your Gank On! Challenge (“Challenge”) is an exciting Battlegrounds tournament for Fan Faire Platinum Pass holders! The Challenge will feature four rounds of competition with six on six matches in the “Gears of Klak’Anon” Battleground on the Test-copy server. Winning teams will advance to the next round. Participants will choose between their test-copied characters or newly buffed characters. Participants wishing to use a copy of their EverQuest II character will need to use the /copy command to copy their character to Test-copy in advance. The last team standing will win!
